The findings detail how the law has been weaponized against journalists, activists, and ordinary citizens, stifling dissent and eroding democratic accountability.

The report urges the Thai government to amend the lèse‑majesté statute to align with international human rights standards, ensuring fair trials, proportional penalties, and protection for free expression. It also calls for independent oversight and transparent judicial processes to rebuild public trust.
